Therapy is a collaborative process where both the therapist and the client actively engage to foster growth and healing. It’s not about one person having all the answers; instead, it’s a partnership where the therapist provides guidance, tools, and a safe space, while the client brings their unique experiences, insights, and commitment to the work. Together, we identify goals, explore challenges, and develop strategies to create meaningful and lasting change. This teamwork allows for a tailored approach, ensuring that the process aligns with the client’s values, strengths, and needs. Ultimately, the effort we both put in makes therapy a dynamic and empowering journey toward achieving your desired outcomes.

I work best with clients who are ready to embrace change, as my approach is solution-focused and geared toward achieving meaningful progress. I welcome clients from all walks of life and am deeply committed to fostering an inclusive and supportive environment. As a proud LGBTQ ally and supporter of the Black Lives Matter movement, I ensure that my practice is a space where everyone feels seen and valued. Grounded in trauma-informed care, my focus is on creating safety and collaboration in our work together. I am also passionate about working with adults who have experienced emotional trauma in childhood. I specialize in helping individuals who have grown up with critical and/or neglectful parents and caregivers.

There’s no “quick fix” when it comes to therapeutic healing or personal growth. Instead, I invite you to reflect on how long you’ve been feeling this way. If it’s been a while, it may take some time to move toward feeling the way you’d like to feel.
My goal is to help you feel a little better with each step you take—gradually building momentum until you reach a place of greater peace, resilience, and fulfillment.

There isn’t an exact timeline for processing trauma because everyone’s journey is unique, and treatment is tailored specifically to you. However, I take great care to ensure that we don’t rush the process, as I do not want you to feel flooded. We won’t dive into trauma processing within our first few sessions.
My priority is to first create a sense of security and stability in the therapy space. Once we’ve built a strong foundation of trust and emotional safety, we can begin processing trauma at a pace that feels right for you. My goal is to help you heal in a way that is effective, compassionate, and aligned with your needs, at a pace that feels comfortable.
