EMDR Consultation
As an EMDRIA Certified Therapist and EMDRIA Approved Consultant-in-Training, I offer EMDR consultation to support fellow clinicians in developing competence and confidence in delivering EMDR therapy. Together, we can conceptualize your cases, facilitating a deeper understanding of your clients in order to create a tailored treatment plan that aligns with their unique needs. We also can explore different treatment approaches and therapeutic interventions that help you to treat clients with complex trauma and/or dissociative presentations. The process of collaborating as we review your cases allows you to enhance and build clinical skills while adhering to EMDR protocols.
EMDR follows a standard protocol divided into 8 distinct phases, ensuring comprehensive assessment, treatment, and integration of past experiences.

I regularly integrate Ego States and Polyvagal Theory to enhance support for clients during Phase 2 work. When addressing complex trauma, it’s essential to understand dissociation and effectively use cognitive interweaves—I’m here to guide you in mastering these skills.
If you’re seeking consultation with me, my goal is to help you build a strong grasp of the fundamentals and grow from there. I’ll work with you to deepen your understanding and elevate your skills to the next level.
EMDR Consultation FAQs
-
EMDR, or Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, is a psychotherapy technique designed to help individuals process and heal from trauma and other distressing life experiences. It involves encouraging a client to focus briefly on a memory while simultaneously experiencing bilateral stimulation, which is associated with a reduction in the vividness and emotion associated with the memories. This heavily researched process is believed to help reduce the emotional impact of the memories and facilitate their processing, leading to a reduction in PTSD, trauma and other distressing symptoms.
